About

About me, Renato Ramonda

I’m Renato, bearded geek, lover of hats, good food, strange music, games, language and lots of other stuff. I am an Italian System Engineer and I live and work in Switzerland.

I’m a native Italian speaker, I’m fluent (enough) in English, and understand French and Spanish just enough to get into trouble. But in general, I love languages and linguistics, even if I never studied the matter formally. If you talk to me for any length of time, you are bound to get a speech about Italian linguistic diversity, dialects, or something similar. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

I’ve been a founding member and part of Janus Design, publishing Italian translations of Indie RPGs for all its years of activity.

I published a weird little narrative game called A Scoundrel in the Deep with my friend Flavio Mortarino… and yes, it really does uses passing lit-up matches between the players as its main mechanic.

I fell into the gunpla models hobby head-first, and in the past few years I’ve been building small giant robots and other models. I’m not particularly good or expert at it, but I find it very relaxing. What little I learned in the hobby, I’m always happy to teach.
