That’s a LOT of grains…
I just learned that Switzerland’s third tallest building is… a mill grains silo.
A 118 meters tall (130yds) reinforced concrete grains silo in the middle of Zurich’s old industrial zone, which is now mostly office and residential buildings.
It’s the tallest grain mill in the world (unsurprisingly) and holds 30 thousand tons of various grains divided in 45 smaller containers.
It’s… odd. :)
